20 Years of Concrete
Hosted by Indigo Kelleigh
20 years ago, Dark Horse Comics and Paul Chadwick introduced the comics-reading public to Concrete, an alien science experiment conducted on political speechwriter Ron Lithgow. In the two decades since, he's swam the Atlantic, scaled Mount Everest, and taken on a one-man crusade against overpopulation and rampant anti-environmentalism, all while trying to deal with the realities of his new, alien body. Join us as we talk to creator Paul Chadwick about the inspirations for his stories, and look toward the future of Concrete.
6:45 - 8:15 pm
Comix Apocalypse™
Presented by Ezra Clayton Daniels
You know it, you love it, it's the exciting return of Portland's own home-grown Comix Apocalypse™. Ezra Claytan Daniels returns to Portland to oversee the popular cartooning free-for-all. With all-star comics artists continually flocking to Portland from all over the world, and an ever-growing crop of new faces sprouting up from its picaresque, rain-soaked earth, Portland has been increasingly referred to as the greatest comic book city in the country. And at this year's Stumptown Comics Fest, they intend to prove it!

Who will step up to protect Portland's title? And who will rise up from the shadows to strip it away? Witness the spectacle Friday night, then come back to the Fest Saturday to back in the victors' glory all day long!
